Funeral Mass for Tara Hansen to Be Held at St. Rose of Lima

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a chance of rain before 11 a.m. Monday. The high will be near 70 degrees with wind gusts up to 37 mph. The overnight low will be about 57.

The funeral mass for West Freehold Elementary School teacher Tara Hansen will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Monday. Hansen, 29, of Wanamassa, died Thursday morning at Monmouth Medical Center after complications from childbirth. Hansen was a graduate of Freehold Borough High School and Kean University.

Hansen is survived by her husband, Ryan Hansen; son, Brandon Ryan Hansen; parents, John and Jan Deaver, of Freehold; three brothers, John Deaver and his wife Susie, of Jobstown, Eric Deaver and his wife Wendy, of Plumsted, and Steven Deaver of Fair Haven; one sister, Jamie Cone and her husband Jordan of Freehold; and a maternal grandmother, Helen Savage, of Whiting.

The Freehold Borough Council will hold a regular meeting on Monday at 7:30 p.m. On the agenda for the meeting is the authorization of a bond for road and sidewalk improvements.

The Freehold Township Human Relations Council will hold a meeting in Room 214 of Freehold Town Hall on Monday at 7 p.m.

Colonials boys golf will play Colts Neck away on Monday at 3:30 p.m. while girls golf will host Marlboro at that time. Baseball and softball take on Point Pleasant Borough at home at 3:45 p.m. In addition, boys tennis competes away against Colts Neck at 3:45 p.m. while boys volleyball plays the Cougars at home at that time.

Patriots will take on Christian Brothers Academy away in golf at 3:30 p.m., tennis at 3:45 p.m., and baseball at 4 p.m.
