Give Peace a Chance Art Exhibit Reception

Weather

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain. Dense fog is likely in the morning. The high for the day will be 63 degrees and the overnight low will be 38.

The in Freehold Raceway Mall will hold a reception on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to celebrate its new exhibit. The “Give Peace a Chance” exhibit features artwork by local veterans and area students interpreting the theme.

The exhibit, which runs through Dec. 2, honors veterans and members of the Armed Forces.

Meetings

The Monmouth County Improvement Authority meets Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Hall of Records building.

The Freehold Township Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet at Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

High School Sports

Freehold Township field hockey plays Eastern away on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Colonials field hockey plays West Milford away at 2 p.m. Girls soccer takes on Matawan at home at 2 p.m. Gymnastics competes in the state team championships at Montgomery High School at 5:30 p.m.

Schools Closed

Freehold Borough, Freehold Regional and Freehold Township schools are closed Thursday and Friday for the New Jersey Education Association Convention.
