Help House a Homeless Man

Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 47 degrees and an overnight low of 30, according to the National Weather Service.

The Freehold Clergy Association needs your help to support its emergency housing program for homeless men in the Freehold area.  From December through March, a different house of worship in the area provides food and a warm place to stay for the evening.

The Freehold Clergy Association is collecting donations to support the cost of items such as beds, pillows, blankets, insurance and alcohol kits. It costs approximately $5 to cover the cost of housing one man per night.

To sponsor the housing of homeless man, consider donating $5 for one night, $35 for a week, $150 for a month, or any other amount. Send your tax deductible donation with your name, address and phone number to , 211 Elton Adelphia Road, Freehold, NJ 07728. Checks should be made out to Hope Lutheran Church.

The Freehold Township High School PTO meets at the school at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Freehold Township Committee will hold a workshop meeting in Room 214 of Town Hall at 8 p.m.

The Freehold Township Board of Education will meet at Clifton T. Barkalow Middle School at 8 p.m.

Colonials boys basketball will host Brick in a scrimmage game on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. Ice hockey will take on Manalapan at Gold Coast Arena in Wall at 6:15 p.m. Girls basketball will play Brick away in a scrimmage game.

Patriots boys basketball hosts Matawan Regional in scrimmage game at 4 p.m. Ice hockey takes on Middletown North at Gold Coast Arena at 8:10 p.m.
