The Week Ahead: HSPA Testing Begins Tuesday in All FRHSD Schools

School Events

  • Freehold Borough schools will have an early dismissal from Tuesday, March 5 until Friday, March 8. On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be an early dismissal due to parent/teacher conferences. The early dismissals on Thursday and Friday are due to staff professional development.
  • Freehold Township students will have an early dismissal on Friday, March 8 because of staff professional development.
  • HSPA testing will be held at all FRHSD schools between Tuesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 7. Students will have early dismissals on all three days because of testing.
  • The Freehold Borough BOE will meet on Monday, March 4 to adopt the tentative school budget for the 2013-2014 school year. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Park Avenue Elementary School cafeteria.
  • The Freehold Township BOE will meet on Tuesday, March 5 to adopt their tentative school budget for the 2013-2014 school year. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held in the board conference room of the Freehold Township BOE building.

Book Fair

The Hope Christian School is celebrating Read Across America with a book fair. The Book Fair will be held at the Hope Lutheran Church from Monday, March 4 until Friday, March 8. The Book Fair will run from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. For more information visit the book fair’s event listing.

Book Launch Party

Teen Author Lenore Luca, will be signing and discussing her new book 'How To Be A Teen  On The Move' at the Freehold Borough YMCA on Thursday, March 7. Luca’s book is a self empowerment book written by a teen for teens. Books will be available for sale $12.95, Food will be served. . 

Government Meetings

  • The Freehold Borough Council will meet on Monday, March 4. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the Freehold Borough Offices.
  • The Freehold Township Shade Tree Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6. The meeting will be held at the Freehold Township Municipal building.
  • The Freehold Township Planning Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 7 has been cancelled.
