Jewish Heritage Museum Seeks Photo Exhibit Entries

Monmouth County’s Jewish Experience in Pictures

Attention photographers: the deadline to register for the photo exhibit is Thursday, Aug. 25. Monmouth County’s Jewish Experience in Pictures exhibit is open to professional, amateur and student photographers. The fee is $20 for one entry and $35 for two entries. Prizes will be awarded in the professional and amateur divisions.

This weekend is your last chance to catch the five-week run of the canine comedy Sylvia. The curtains rise at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $24 for adults and $22 for seniors and students.

The Freehold Farmers Market will take place Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the Hall of Records. Vendors at the event sell fresh, locally grown produce. The participants in this year’s Freehold Farmer's Market include Kauffman Farms, Farmingdale; The Farm, Freehold; Hauser Hill Farms, Old Bridge; Trapper's Honey, Clarksburg; Pickle Licious, Teaneck; Schilke Organic Farms, Eatontown; and Rocky Brook Farm, Millstone.

Congregation Kol Am, a reform congregation serving the greater Freehold area, is celebrating its 10th anniversary by launching summer Shabbat services on Fridays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Rabbi Brooks Susman leads the services, which are held at in Howell near the Freehold Township border.
