Wednesday night’s nasty weather will continue Thursday morning with snow possible during the morning commute and then rain between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Thursday’s high will be 43 degrees and the overnight low will be 22.

Government Meetings

The Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a workshop meeting at the Hall of Records at 1 p.m. Thursday and a regular meeting at Shrewsbury Borough Hall at 7 p.m. The freeholders will vote on the 2011 county budget. The Freehold Township Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet at Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

High School Sports

Colonials baseball is scheduled to play a scrimmage away at Holmdel at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday and the softball team will play at 4 p.m. Boys volleyball will play away at Howell at 3:45 p.m. Patriots boys lacrosse will play Old Bridge away at 4 p.m. (The inclement weather may lead to the games being cancelled or rescheduled.)

Freehold High School will put on its spring musical, , on Friday at 7 p.m. and on Saturday on 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The Oasis Players present , a concert of love and friendship songs, at the Center Playhouse this weekend. The event will showcase includes work from such composers as George and Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, Burt Bacharach, Joni Mitchell and Carole King. The show will fun Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

CentraState will hold the 2nd Annual Paulette Steps Toward Cancer Wellness 5K Run/1-mile Walk to benefit colorectal patients and programs on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Monmouth Battlefield State Park in Manalapan.
