Kickin' It Campaign Against Bullying Hosts Student Party

Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 80 degrees and an overnight low of 48, according to the National Weather Service.

The Rocky Marciano World Foundation continues its Kickin’ It Campaign fighting bullying with a student party Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 3-2 Count Athletic Training Facility on Fairfield Road in Howell.

The event will feature a DJ, dancing, games, activities and snacks. Students ages 10 to 14 years of age are invited to attend. The cost is $10 for the general public and free for Kickin’ It Campaign members.

Kickin’ It Campaign events provide opportunities for kids and teens to interact in a positive, respectful environment. For more information, visit the organization’s Web site or call 732-409-1132.

CentraState will hold a class Friday from 10 a.m. to noon for individuals at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. The program will discuss lifestyle adjustments, meal planning, exercise, and other relevant information on reducing risk of diabetes.

The Center Players will end their run of The Heiress this weekend. Shows are scheduled for Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 5 at 2 p.m.

The Heiress is a Victorian period piece based on the Henry James novel Washington Square.

Tickets are $24 for general admission, $22 for seniors or students, and $20 per person for groups.

High School Sports

Colonials boys and girls track will compete in the Group III championships on Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. at South Plainfield.

Patriots boys and girls track heads to Old Bridge on Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. for the Group IV championships.
