Local BOE and PTO Meetings Tonight

A list of five things you should know for Monday, Jan. 9, 2012.

Weather

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Overnight, there is a slight chance of rain and snow between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. The rest of the night it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Meetings

There will be a Freehold Borough Board of Education meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the ’s Cafeteria. 

School and will be holding their PTO meetings tonight at 7:30 p.m.

High School Sports

Today the boys and girls basketball teams will take on Red Bank Catholic High School. The girls will play at home and take the court at 5:30 p.m. The boys will travel to Red Bank and play at 6:30 p.m.

The boys and girls basketball teams are also in action today.  Both teams will take on Middletown South High School. The girls will play at home at 4:00 p.m. while the boys will travel to Middletown and take the court at 4:00 p.m.

Support Groups

will be holding a Cancer Support Group, a Free Cancer Screening and an AA meeting today. The support group will meet at 3:00 p.m. and is for cancer patients and their families to learn how to cope with cancer. For more information call (732) 303-5098.

The Free Cancer Screening will take place at 5:00 p.m. and go until 7:00 p.m. Call (732) 308-0570 or visit centrastate.com/healthprograms to register and for more information.

The AA meeting will take place at 8:00 p.m.

Bingo

will be holding bingo tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria. Food and refreshments are available. Adults 18 years of age and older are welcome to play. For more information, please call (732)462-2646.
