Aberdeen Home a Finalist in Deck the House Contest

The home with the most votes wins $100,000 from Patch for their local school district.

Imagine what it would be like if the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District received $100,000 dollars.

$100,000 dollars is the equivilant of 5,000 soccer balls, 83 MacBook Pro laptops or 52 new promethean smartboards for our students.

Well, this isn't just a wish, it is a very real possibility if everybody in town simply clicks a button every day until Jan. 8.

Last month, Tara Carroll-Darcy of 25 Waverly Place in Aberdeen entered a video of her holiday decorations for a shot at having her December electric bill paid and a shot at winning $100,000 for the school district through Patch's Deck the House contest.

Patch announced Friday that Carroll-Darcy's home was selected as one of 24 finalists from across the entire country. The rules are simple - the home with the highest number of votes wins. Voting is open until 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 8, and every person is allowed to vote once a day.
