Monmouth County Historical Association Accepting Book Donations

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 82 degrees and an overnight low of 64, according to the National Weather Service. Rain and thunderstorms are possible overnight.

The Monmouth County Historical Association (MCHA) is accepting donations of books. The MCHA Museum & Library will hold a book sale on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in conjunction with the Freehold Borough Town-wide Yard Sale. Proceeds will benefit MCHA’s research collection.

Book donations can be brought to the MCHA Museum & Library, 70 Court St., Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Freehold Township Committee will meet at Town Hall at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Freehold Township Board of Education meets at the administration building, 384 W. Main St., at 8 p.m.

Colonials boys and girls cross country host Colts Neck and Neptune on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. Boys soccer plays Ocean Township away while girls soccer faces them at home at 3:45 p.m. Girls volleyball takes on Jackson Liberty at home at 3:45 p.m.

Freehold Township boys cross country host Christian Brothers Academy at 4 p.m. Patriots gymnastics faces Colts Neck away at 4:30 p.m.

Dr. Jason Gold will give a lecture on colorectal cancer at on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

The Colorectal Cancer Self-Help Group will meet at the hospital from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The group is for anyone affected by colorectal cancer, including survivors, caregivers, and family members. Periodic guest speakers will include physicians, nurses, and dietitians.
