National Weather Service Issues Winter Weather Advisory

Freehold will see snow, sleet and freezing rain Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Attention commuters: Mother Nature may make your Tuesday morning drive a difficult one.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Western Monmouth County, including Freehold and Manalapan, from Monday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. to Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 7 a.m.

Snow is expected to begin falling between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. and switch over to sleet and freezing rain between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m.

The National Weather Service predicts about an inch of snow and advises drivers to exercise caution on the roads, as conditions may not improve until after the morning rush hour.
