UPDATE: Power Restored in Freehold

Power outages also reported in Farmingdale, Howell and Wall around 10 a.m. on Monday.

Update, 10:28 a.m.: Power outages are now listed at 2,544 in Howell, 841 in Wall, 161 in Farmingdale, and 27 in Freehold Township.

Some 531 Jersey Central Power & Light customers in Freehold lost power shortly before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the JCP&L outage map.

In addition, over 6,000 Howell households, 700 households in Farmingdale, and 400 in Wall have lost power.

Some Howell customers received calls from JCP&L informing them they could lose power after midnight on Wednesday morning as the company completed maintenance work near Wycoff Mills Road. It was not immediately known if the current outage was related to the maintenance work that was scheduled to take place.

In Freehold, the majority of the outages have been reported in the township. Calls have been placed to JCP&L about the outages in Freehold, but they have not yet been returned.
