Planning Board 7-Eleven Hearing Resumes

Weather

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 47 degrees and an overnight low of 38 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Meetings

The Freehold Borough Planning Board will meet at Borough Hall at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The governing body is expected to vote on the 7-Eleven proposal for 63 E. Main St.

The Freehold Township Department of Parks and Recreation will meet at the Michael J. Tighe Park Activity Center at 7:30 p.m.

Winter Wonderland Workshop

The Freehold Township Department of Parks & Recreation will hold a Winter Wonderland Workshop at the Freehold Township Senior Center on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Each child will decorate a chocolate house with icing and candy. The cost to participate is $15 per child and Pre-registration is required. Visit the department’s Web site or call 732-294-2029 for more information.

High School Sports

Patriots boys and girls bowling will compete against Howell at Howell Lanes on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Girls basketball will host Jackson Memorial in a scrimmage game at 4 p.m.

Colonials boys basketball will play Cardinal McCarrick away in scrimmage game at 4 p.m.

will hold its annual Blue Christmas on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. According to an announcement from St. Peter’s, the service is the church’s way of acknowledging the reality that, for some, the holidays are a lonely and difficult season. The service will consist of prayers, candle lighting, music, and an informal Communion service.
