Primary Elections Held Tuesday

Weather

Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 86 degrees and an overnight low of 65, according to the National Weather Service.

Primary Election

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. during Tuesday’s primary election. There are no contested elections in Freehold Township or Freehold Borough this year; however, you can still cast your ballot. The Monmouth County Clerk’s office has made sample ballots available. To watch election results as they come in, visit the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office’s unofficial results page.

Freehold Republican Club Reorganization

The Freehold Borough Republican Club will hold a reorganization meeting on Tuesday, June 7 at 7 p.m. at the . The event is open to all registered voters; attendees are invited to nominate and vote for the club’s leadership.

Cancer Lecture & Screening

Centrastate will hold a free lecture and prostate and colorectal cancer screenings on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The physician lecture will take place from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will focus on detection and treatment of prostate and colon problems.

The screenings are for men 40 years of age and older who have never had a PSA blood test and have no precious diagnosis of prostate cancer.

Space is limited and an appointment is required. Visit centrastate.com/healthprograms or call (732) 308-0570 to learn about dietary restrictions for the screening, to register for the lecture and to make an appointment for the screening.

High School Events

Freehold High School will hold a fall sports informational meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. The session is for incoming freshmen and their parents or guardians. Attendees will be introduced to Supervisor of Extracurricular Activities Jesse Renna, Principal Linda Jewell, and fall coaching staff. In addition, paperwork requirements and tryout and preseason schedules will be discussed.

Freehold Township High School will hold its Senior Awards Assembly Night in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m. The event is by invitation only.
