Remembering Freehold Victims of 9/11

President Barack Obama announced Sunday night that Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind the September 11th attacks, was killed by U.S. action in a mansion outside Islamabad, Pakistan.

Take a moment today to remember the lives lost 10 years ago. The following Freehold residents died on September 11th: Frederick J. Hoffmann, 53; Michele L. Hoffman, 27; Carmen Milagros Rodriguez, 46; Joseph Sacerdote, 48; Astrid Elizabeth Sohan, 32; Wendy Alice Rosario Wakeford, 40.

Meetings

The Freehold Borough Council will meet at Borough Hall on Monday at 7:30 p.m. The Freehold Township Fire Prevention Board and the Freehold Township Human Relations Council will hold meetings at Town Hall at 7 p.m. The Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education will hold a reorganization meeting at the administration building, 11 Pine St., Englishtown, at 7 p.m,

On Tuesday, the Freehold Township Board of Education will hold a reorganization meeting at Board Offices, 384 W. Main St., at 8 p.m.

On Wednesday, the Freehold Township Shade Tree Commission will hold a meeting at Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

On Thursday, the Freehold Township Planning Board will meet at Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

High School Sports

Patriots boys golf will compete against Middletown North at Navesink Country Club on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Baseball, softball and tennis will take on Manalapan at home at 4 p.m. Boys and girls track will host Middletown South at 4 p.m. Also, boys lacrosse will play will away at that time.

Colonials boys golf competes away against Ocean Township at 3:45 p.m., while girls golf hosts Red Bank Regional at that time. Boys tennis plays Monmouth Regional at home at 3:45 p.m. At 4 p.m., baseball and softball take on Shore Regional at home. Boys volleyball faces Red Bank Catholic at home at that time.
