Route 33 Bridge Closed for Road Work on Sept. 5

The bridge may be closed temporarily.

If you travel the Route 33 bridge be sure to plan an alternate route for Sept 5.

The New Jersey State Department of Transportation (DOT) will begin bridge maintenance work on the Route 33 bridge on Wednesday, Sept. 5. The bridge is located on Route 33 Business ramp spanning over the Route 33 highway in Manalapan.

Construction will include deck patching, joint and crack repairs, header reconstruction, and an application of corrosion inhibitor, according to an announcement on the Manalapan Township website.

While the construction work is underway the lane will be closed temporarily. If it rains on Sept. 5, the construction will be delayed.
