Santa Dines and Menorahs Are Lit

A list of five things to know for Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011.

Weather:

Wednesday  will have periods of rain in the early morning and will have a high near 57. Overnight there will be rain with a low around 44, according to the national weather service. 

Meeting:

The Lake Topanemus Park Commission will hold its public meetings at 7:00 p.m. in the .

The Commission is responsible for maintaining Lake Topanemous Park, which is a beloved area park. Members of the public who are interested in volunteering their services should contact the Commission at info@twp.freehold.nj.us.

Events:

Santa takes a break from his busy schedule to eat dinner with all the good boys and girls at restaurant in Freehold. Santa will be arriving at 5 p.m. and will be available to take pictures until 8 p.m.

There will be a public menorah lighting will be held at Mounts Corner Shopping Center. There will be refreshments, hot latkes, gelt, dreidels, prizes. The lighting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and is free.

High School Sports:

The Varsity Colonial girls and boys will take on Red Bank Regional.  The boys will play home at 5:30 p.m. and the girls will play at 6:30 p.m. at Red Bank Regional.   

Support Group:

The will hold a women’s AA meeting beginning at 7 p.m.
