The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 70 percent chance of rain on Friday. The high for the day will be near 77 degrees and the overnight low will be around 49.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 66 degrees and an overnight low of 47, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday will also be sunny with a high of 66 and a low of 52.

Shred your documents and support cancer research in the process. The Peggy Spiegler Melanoma Research Foundation will hold a shredding event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at . The Laura Donovan Elementary School PTO will host a clothing drive on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school. Clean clothing, linens, paired shoes, handbags and stuffed animals in large, black trash bags. The items will be picked up by the American Red Cross and the PTO will receive money for every pound collected.

High School Sports

On Friday, Colonials girls volleyball heads to Holmdel at 3:30 p.m. Field hockey and girls tennis hosts Neptune at 3:45 p.m. Boys soccer plays Jackson away, while girls soccer plays them at home at 3:45 p.m. Gymnastics takes on Manalapan away at 4 p.m.

Patriots girls tennis hosts Middletown North at 3:45 p.m. Gymnastics heads to Ocean Township at 4 p.m. Boys soccer plays St. John Vianney at home at 4 p.m. Field hockey takes on Rumson-Fair Haven away at 6:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Colonials boys and girls cross country compete in the Fall Classic at Thompson Park at 2 p.m. Football hosts Long Branch at 2 p.m. Field hockey takes on Ocean Township away at 2:30 p.m.

Patriots soccer hosts Red Bank Catholic at 1:30 p.m. Girls cross country heads to the Fall Classic in Thompson Park at 2 p.m. Football competes against Marlboro away at 2:30 p.m.
