Slideshow: Museum Exhibit Reflects on Jewish Experience

"Monmouth County's Jewish Experience in Pictures: A Photography Exhibit" is now on display at the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County.

What is the Jewish experience in Monmouth County? A new exhibit at the hopes to interpret Jewish culture, history and tradition through photographs. The program, titled “Monmouth County’s Jewish Experience in Pictures: A Photography Exhibit,” is on display Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until March 4, 2012.

The museum held an opening fundraising event for the exhibit on Sunday, Sept. 18. During the event, Allan Goldberg, owner of Coachman Studios; Richard Stromwasser, owner of Ardmore Custom Photography; and Rabbi Sally Priesand judged the photos on display on the amateur and professional categories.

“As one of three judges I was very impressed by the images that were submitted for the first annual Jewish Heritage Museum’s print competition,” Goldberg said. “The winning images had great impact.  I was very pleased by the number of prints and their quality.”
