Spooktacular Window Painting Contest

The Freehold Halloween Spooktacular’s mural painting contest will take place on storefront windows throughout Downtown Freehold on Tuesday. Art students from each of the six Freehold Regional high schools will compete. A rain date will be held Thursday, Oct. 13.

Patriots boys and girls cross country will compete against Marlboro and Middletown at Holmdel Park on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Field hockey takes on Manalapan away at 4 p.m., while gymnastics heads to Howell at that time. Girls soccer hosts Marlboro, while boys soccer plays them at the Marlboro Recreation Center at 4 p.m.

Colonials girls tennis competes against Manasquan in the second round of the state tournament at the Atlantic Club in Wall at 3:30 p.m. Girls soccer hosts Neptune, while field hockey and boys soccer plays them away at 3:45 p.m. Boys and girls cross country head to Red Bank Catholic at 4 p.m. Girls volleyball plays Colts Neck away at 4 p.m.

Dr. Vasudha Dhar will give a on the detection and treatment of colorectal cancer in women at on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
