Storm Knocks Out Power in Sections of Western Monmouth

Tuesday afternoon’s wind and heavy rains have left some Western Monmouth residents without power.

As of 3:30 p.m., JCP&L reports 500 customers or less experiencing outages in Colts Neck, Freehold and Manalapan. In Englishtown, under 2,000 people are without power.

The National Weather Service forecasts thunderstorms, frequent lighting and heavy rains will continue throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Small hail is also possible.
