Summer Activities for Kids at Freehold Public Library

A list of five things you need to know Tuesday, July 5.

Weather

Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 88 degrees and an overnight low of 64, according to the National Weather Service.

Freehold Public Library

The Freehold Public Library begins its summer session of events on Tuesday. Children in third grade and above can take part in a quill pens and calligraphy craft session at 10 a.m. If your child can’t make this event, don’t worry: Tuesday morning crafts continue each week throughout the summer to keep boredom at bay.

At 2 p.m., students in fourth grade will begin planning and producing a play for children in preschool through second grade. Rehearsals continue each Tuesday throughout July, with plays presented Thursday, July 14; Thursday, July 21; and Thursday, July 28.

Meetings

The Freehold Borough Council meets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Freehold Borough Hall.           

Sheriff’s Sale

The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office will have an auction of foreclosure sales on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Freeholder’s Meeting Room of the Hall of Records building.

Freehold Township Senior Center

The Freehold Township Senior Center will host cards at 9 a.m.; knitting and crocheting at 10 a.m.; spaghetti and meatballs lunch at 11:30 a.m.; and a Strong Bones & Healthy Body exercise class at 2 p.m.
