Summer Concerts to Replace Kruise Nite

The National Weather Service forecast calls for rain Wednesday morning. The day’s high will be near 59 degrees and the overnight low will be 42.

Concerts to Replace Kruise Nite

Downtown Freehold announced that Kruise Nite will not be returning this summer. Instead, the organization’s summer entertainment lineup will focus on the Downtown Summer Concert Series.

The concerts will take place in front of the Hall of Records on Thursdays from July 7 through August 25. Tribute bands such as Jimmy and The Parrots, U2 Nation and Jersey 4 have been booked for the series, as have Jersey Shore favorites such as The Nerds and The Phil Engel Band.

"There has been a clear shift in the past three years as our music program strengthened and drew a continuously growing crowd," Downtown Freehold CEO Rich Gatto said in a press release issued by the business partnership.

Meetings

On Wednesday, the Freehold Township Shade Tree Commission will hold a meeting at Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

High School Sports

Patriots boys golf will compete against Colts Neck at Hominy Hill on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Boys lacrosse will play Long Branch away ay 4 p.m. and girls lacrosse will take on Toms River South at home at that time.

Colonials baseball and softball face Ocean Township away at 3:45 p.m. Boys golf competes against Red Bank Regional and Manasquan at Shark River Golf Course at that time. Boys volleyball will play Colts Neck away at 3:45 p.m.
