The Week Ahead: County Fair, Concerts & Grand Openings

A list of events going on in Freehold this week.

Meetings

The Freehold Borough Historic Preservation Committee will on Monday, July 23 at 7 p.m. at Municipal Hall on Main Street.

The Freehold Township Committee Tuesday, July 24 at 8 p.m. at the Township's municipal offices at the corner of Schanck Road and Stillwell Corners Road.

The Freehold Borough Planning Board will Wednesday, July 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Municipal Hall on Main Street.

The Freehold Township Recreation Commission will Wednesday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Township's municipal offices at the corner of Schanck Road and Stillwell Corners Road.

Monmouth County Fair

The annual Monmouth County Fair will kick off on Wednesday, July 25 at 5 p.m. at East Freehold Showgrounds at 1500 Kozloski Road. The fair will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. from Wednesday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. More information on this year's fair can be found here.

Musical Performances

Peter Yarrow, of '60s folk trio Peter, Paul & Mary, will be at the Freehold Barnes & Noble on Route 9 for an author signing and musical performance on Wednesday, July 25. Yarrow will present his new children's book, "It's Raining, It's Pouring." The will start at 7:00 p.m.

will take place on Wednesday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. in front of the Hall of Records. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Grand Openings

The Weinburger Law Group will open a second office at 4400 Route 9 South, Suite 1000 on Wednesday, July 25 in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12 p.m.

Shido Martial Arts is having a and networking mixer at its facility at 200 Business Park Drive from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 26. Canned goods will be collected for the Monmouth County Food Bank.
