The Week Ahead: Early Dismissal for Schools

From local meetings, to early school dismissals, and a fundraising dinner for the Memorial Parade, this week looks to be another busy one in Freehold.

Government Meetings

The Freehold Township Committee will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 15 for a workshop meeting. The meeting will begin at 8 p.m. and will be held in room 214 of the Municipal building. The meeting's agenda can be seen here.

School Events

  • The Freehold Township Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 15. The meeting will begin at 8 p.m. and will be held in the Board Office.
  • Students in Freehold Borough schools will have an early dismissal on Friday, Jan. 18.
  • Freehold Township students will be dismissed early on Wednesday, Jan. 16, Thursday, Jan. 17 and Friday, Jan. 18 for conferences.

Memorial Parade Dinner

Between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, The Cabin will be donating 20% of your pre-tax, pre-liquor bill to help support the 2013 Freehold Memorial Day Parade. Tuesday is prime-rib night so bring the whole family. For more information visit ­www.­freeho­ldmemorialday­parade.­com.

Workshop: More Success by Obsessing Less

Elaine Morales, speaker, author, and life transformation coach will be at the Tuesday, Jan. 15 workshop for The Entrepreneurial Think Tank for Moms. The workshop is designed to help women who are obsessed, distressed, and downright depressed by on-going food drama in their lives to break free and achieve their ideal weight while enjoying food and loving life. Art Lecture: Chaim Soutine and His Friendship with Amedeo Modiglian

The ongoing series of art lectures will continue at the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. when it presents Professor Maurice Mahler speaking about “Chaim Soutine and His Friendship with Amedeo Modigliani”.
