The Week Ahead: Holiday Events Begin

A list of activities and events going on in Freehold this week.

School Meetings

The Freehold Township Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 27. The meeting will begin at 8 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Freehold Township Board of Education Office.

The Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD) Board of Education will meet on Monday, Nov. 26. The meeting will be held at Howell High School. The meeting will begin at 8 p.m.

Local Government Meetings

The Freehold Township Recreation Commission will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 28. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Michael J. Tighe Park.

The Freehold Borough Planning Board will meet on Wednesday Nov. 28 in the Freehold Borough Offices. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

Bone Marrow Drive

Retro Fitness will be hosting a bone marrow drive Monday, Nov. 26 and Tuesday, Nov.27 for a local resident who is diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. With the help of Smiles4Shira and DKMS, Retro Fitness and Let’s YO! will be hosting “Give Me Your Spit” swab drives to help find a potential bone marrow donor match for those who have been diagnosed with blood cancer. At the “Give Me Your Spit” drives, community residents can take action and register as a potential donor with just a simple cheek swab. For more information visit the event’s Patch listing.

Make a Menorah

The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County is hosting “Make a Menorah” in celebration of Hanukkah. The program is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 29 from 4:30 until 6 p.m. at Around the Corner Art Center. For more information visit Make a Menroa’s event listing. 

Christmas Carol Festival
