President’s Day Closings

Freehold Borough Offices and Freehold Township Offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 18 in observation of Presidents Day.

The Freehold Post Office will also be closed on Monday, Feb. 18.

School News

Due to Hurricane Sandy, all Freehold students will be in class Monday, Feb. 18.

On Wednesday, Feb. 20 students in the Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD) will have an early dismissal.

FRHSD second marking period grades will be posted on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

The Marshall W. Errickson School will have a fun fair on Friday, Feb. 22 from 5 to 9 p.m.

The C. Richard Applegate School will hold a Ladies Night Out on Friday, Feb. 22

Jules Verne’s Steampunk Birthday Party

The Freehold Public Library invites all to come out on Wednesday, Feb. 20 for a opportunity to make Steampunk-style jewelry and accessories. This event is for middle school and high school students. Snacks will be served. More information about this event can be seen on its listing. 

Government Meetings

The Freehold Borough Council will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 19 for a regular workshop meeting. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the boardroom of the Freehold Borough Offices. To see what will be discussed at this meeting, view the agenda here.

The Freehold Borough Lake Topanemus Commission will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 20. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. 

The Freehold Township Planning Board meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 21 has been cancelled.
