The Week Ahead: Thanksgiving Countdown

School News

• Freehold Borough students will be dismissed early Monday through Wednesday this week. All schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving Break.
• The Freehold Borough Board of Education (BOE) will meet on Monday, Nov. 19. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Park Avenue Elementary School Complex Gymnasium. The meeting’s agenda can be seen here. 
• Freehold Township Schools will be closed early on Wednesday, Nov. 21. All schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving break.
• Students at the Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD) will have an early dismissal on Wednesday Nov. 21 followed by all schools being closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving break.

Local Government

• The Freehold Borough Council will meet Monday, Nov. 19. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the Freehold Borough Offices. This will be the first Council meeting since Hurricane Sandy Hit. The meeting’s agenda can be seen here. 
• The Freehold Borough Recreation Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20.
• The Freehold Township Historic Preservation Commission meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 19. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
• The Freehold Township Committee will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 20. The meeting will be held in Municipal Room 114 of the Freehold Township Offices and will begin at 8 p.m. To see what will be discussed at this meeting, view the agenda here.
• Freehold Township Offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday this week in observance of Thanksgiving.

Art Exhibit

The Freehold Art Society Exhibit at the Freehold Public Library will kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 20 and will run until Saturday, Feb. 9. For more information visit the event listing here.

Black Friday

Holiday Hours at the Freehold Raceway Mall kick off this Friday Nov. 23. The mall will open at midnight on Friday and will close at 11 p.m. for all Black Friday deals. Outside department store hours may vary.
