This Weekend: Valentine Activities and More

You don’t have to go far to enjoy these activities this weekend.

Looking to get out this weekend but don’t want to travel far? Don’t worry; Freehold has a ton of great events going on right in town.


Dancing at Daniel’s Ballroom

Daniel’s Ballroom, located at 18 Spring St, is offering a Ballroom/Country/Latin Dance Social, with Venison Buffet. The buffet will be served at 7 p.m. followed by open dancing until 11 p.m. For the evening it will cost $25. For reservations call 732-330-6084. Downtown Concert Series

Mezzo soprano Martha Bartz accompanied by her pianist Mory Ortman present a cabaret performance that will delight Valentine’s Day audiences. Tickets for the concert cost $25 for adults and are $10 for 18 years and under. The concert will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and will begin at 7:30 p.m. More information can be found here.

Center Player’s Present’s “I DO! I DO!”

Performances of "I Do! I Do!" will play at Center Playhouse, on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $23 for seniors and students and include gourmet desserts and refreshments. Six Million and One

The Jewish Heritage Museum and the Jewish Federation of Western Monmouth County will present the film Six Million and One at the Museum on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. Admission is $10 per person. The 2011 film is an Israeli, German and Austrian collaboration with Hebrew and English subtitles. More information about this event can be found here.

Sunday Breakfast

The Freehold Elk’s Lodge will be having their monthly breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 17. The breakfast boasts an extensive menu with items made to order. The breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue until noon. For more information visit the event’s listing here.
