10: PHOTOS: Freehold Mural Painted Over (Update)

The property, 63 E. Main St., is the site of a proposed 7-Eleven. The application by the property owner, HRS Investments LLC, is currently before the Freehold Borough Planning Board. HRS Investments received approval by the Freehold Borough Code Enforcement Office in late December to reopen the site as a gas station.

JCP&L’s outage map shows that in Freehold alone there are 18,085 outages reported. Outages began in Freehold early Monday afternoon, and consistently continued throughout the day and night. Earlier Monday, some Freehold Borough residents got lucky when their power came back on for a few hours after it originally went out.

3: Four-Car Accident on Kozloski Road in Freehold

Four vehicles were involved in an accident at Kozloski Road and Center Street in Freehold Township shortly before 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Violent thunderstorms blowing through Monmouth County late Saturday knocked out power to some 30,000 customers, according to Jersey Central Power and Light, and had left up to 3,600 outages in Freehold Borough and over 2,300 in Freehold Township still unrestored as of Sunday afternoon.

1: Update: 17-Year-Old Girl Ejected From Car Sunroof in Kozloski Accident

Four vehicles are totaled after a 17-year-old girl appeared to have run a red light at Kozloski Road and Center Street at 2:44 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a press release issued by the Freehold Township Police Department
