Trevor’s Trip to Triumph Motorcycle Run at Freehold Elks Lodge

The will host Trevor’s Trip to Triumph Motorcycle Run, a fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Craniofacial Association (CCA), on Saturday at 10 a.m. The cost to participate is $30 per rider and $10 per passenger.

CCA provides educational, emotional and financial support to families of children with facial differences. Learn more about Trevor, the boy who gives his name to the event; his family; and the motorcycle run on their Web site.

The Freehold will host a German dinner on Oct. 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The dinner will feature pickled beet salad, sauerbraten, knockwurst, bratwurst, red cabbage, sauerkraut, German potato salad, rye and pumpernickel breads, black forest cake, apple strudel, coffee, and tea. The cost is $17 per adult and $9 per child under 12.

The historic will hold open hearth cooking and tinsmithing demonstrations on Saturday, Oct. 1 from noon to 4 p.m. Get a taste of 18th century life and tour the landmark house built in1752.

Admission is free. Parking is available at at the corner of West Main St. and Business Route 33.

High School Sports

On Saturday, Patriots girls cross country will compete at home in the Shore Coaches Invitational. Field hockey will take on Middletown North at home at 2 p.m. Boys soccer heads to Christian Brothers Academy at 3 p.m. Football hosts Manalapan at 7 p.m.

Colonials football takes on Neptune at home at 2 p.m. Girls soccer and field hockey play Ocean Township away at 2 p.m. while boys soccer plays them away at 2:30 p.m.
