Dangers Exist Even After Storm Has Gone

The Monmouth County Office of Emergency Management issued a press release yesterday reminding residents dangers exist even though Hurricane Irene is gone. “We have a number of bridges that were overtopped with rushing water and those areas present a real danger,” Sheriff Shaun Golden said in the release. “Do not attempt to drive on a flooded road – you can be stranded or trapped. The depth of the water and the condition of the road is not always obvious.”

Fallen wires and broken gas mains should be reported to utility authorities.  Alert your local authorities to downed trees.

Cuda, a beagle-Labrador mix, was lost Saturday night before the storm when his leash snapped. He was last seen on Schiverea Avenue. Anyone who has seen Cuda should email acostatech@gmail.com or missunderstood1963@gmail.com or text 908-461-1931 or 732-609-3656.

Meeting

The Freehold Borough Board of Education will meet at the Park Avenue Complex on Monday at 7 p.m.
