Walk to Cure Diabetes at Clifton T. Barkalow Middle School

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 73 degrees and an overnight low of 45, according to the National Weather Service.

Walk to Cure Diabetes

The Clifton T. Barkalow Middle School will hold a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk to Cure Diabetes on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is the second year the school has hosted a Walk to Cure Diabetes and 820 students are expected to participate, according physical education teacher Michael Benjamino. Donations can be made to this event.

Meetings

The Monmouth County Human Services Advisory Council will meet at the Human Services Building on Kozloski Road on Tuesday at 10 a.m.

The Board of Election will hold a meeting at the Special Services Complex on Halls Mill Road at 1 p.m.

The Monmouth County Transportation Council will meet at the Hall of Records Annex at 7 p.m.

The Freehold Township Committee will hold a workshop meeting at 8 p.m. in Town Hall

High School Sports

Patriots boys golf will host Racocas Valley Regional at Charleston Springs on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Boys tennis will play Middletown South away at 3:45 p.m. Baseball takes on Southern Regional at home at 4 p.m., while girls lacrosse faces Manalapan away at that time.

Colonials girls golf will compete in the Shore Conference Tournament at Pine Barrens Golf Club at 9 a.m. Baseball and softball will play Long Branch away at 3:45 p.m. Boys and girls track will take on Neptune at home at that time. Boys volleyball is also at home and will face Lacey Township at 3:45 p.m. At 4 p.m., boys tennis plays Red Bank Catholic away.

Register to Vote

The deadline to register for the June 7 primary is Tuesday, May 17.

Residents may register at the Monmouth County Voter Registration Office, 300 Halls Mills Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. On May 17, the office will remain open until 9 p.m.

Bring a driver’s license and another form of identification when registering in person.
