Will You Be Queen of CentraState's Golden Gala 50th Celebration Ball?

The National Weather Service forecast calls for Tuesday to be sunny with a high near 46 degrees and winds between nine and 17 mph. The overnight low will be around 28.

CentraState Ball Queen Contest

To celebrate its half-century anniversary, CentraState will be holding a Golden Gala 50th Celebration Ball in October. But what would a ball be without a queen? If you are between the ages of 16 and 23 and would like to participate in CentraState’s first Ball Queen Contest in 30 years, you are invited to attend an information session on Thursday, April 28 at 6 p.m. in Room C of the Conference Center in the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus.

The contestants will participate in a fashion show on Tuesday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the South Gate Manor. The event is cosponsored by Freehold boutique Diane & Co., which is featured on the television show “Jersey Couture.”

Meetings

The Freehold Township Schools Board of Education will hold a public hearing on the budget at the board office at 384 W Main Street at 8 p.m.

High School Sports

Colonials softball will play a scrimmage against Holmdel away on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m., while boys tennis takes on Red Bank Regional away at that time. Boys track will compete at home against Rumson-Fair Haven at 3:45 p.m.

Patriots tennis will play Monroe at home at 3:45 p.m. At 4 p.m., Freehold Township softball takes on Toms River South and girls lacrosse competes against Red Bank Regional at home.

Community Service Provider Fair

The Freehold Borough School District is looking for area organizations to attend a Community Service Provider Fair on Wednesday, April 13 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Park Avenue Complex Gymnasium.
