What are the most pressing issues facing Freehold today? How would you approach and resolve these issues?

The rising cost of benefits and insurance is a major issue that puts upward pressure on property taxes. I'm very sensitive to this and this Township Committee has made serious changes in the past few years to control those costs. We are now self-insured for group health insurance. In our opinion, this will stem the tide of increases in that major budget item in the long run.

With our Township being nearly built out, the areas that remain undeveloped are critical to continuing the "family town" character of the Township for which we are known and of which we are proud. As a member of the Master Plan Committee, I have been closely engaged with shaping our Master Plan to ensure that when these parcels develop, they meet the interests of our residents and are a good fit in our neighborhoods and zones.
