A LITTLE SONG & DANCE: THREE CENTURIES OF MUSIC BY JEWISH COMPOSERS

On Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 4 pm join us for a joyous afternoon of woodwind quintet music all written by Jewish composers, and presented by The Monmouth Winds. You’ll have a delightful opportunity to hear a colorful sample of these many composers and their styles through works spanning the 19th through the 21st centuries by Jacques Offenbach, Paul Dukas, Gustav Mahler, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Morton Gould, Darius Milhaud, Leonard Bernstein, and most recently, Gary Schocker.

The Monmouth Winds have performed with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra and at weddings, galleries, churches, arts festivals, senior centers and schools for audiences of all ages. The quintet takes great joy in presenting eclectic music from the classical, pop, jazz, and world music.
