Picking the Pope

With the dramatic announcement that Pope Benedict XVI will resign as Pope on February 28, 2013, the world will once again witness the centuries old process of the election of the successor of Saint Peter. Dr. Christopher Bellitto, Associate Professor of History at Kean University and Papal historian will give a presentation on this process, Monday, March 4th at 8:00 p.m. in the parish hall of Saint Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold, NJ 07728. "Picking the Pope" will outline the history and manner in which the Roman Catholic Church has selected the Bishop of Rome and the Vicar of Christ on earth. All are invited to attend.
