Freehold Community,

Freehold is a tremendous community that rallies around home town events and various causes throughout the year. With that said and as we get our electric back ,heat our homes and start to get back to normal, we are seeing the destruction that Sandy left behind her. Many of the towns that some of us may have went to enjoy a summer night on a boardwalk or played a travel soccer game will never be the same. We know we cannot rebuild a house or replace a sentimental object but we can certainly make people feel like they are not forgotten or alone.   The FSL Board of Directors has identified a club in an area that was affected by Sandy. We are going to double our efforts in conjunction with Hazlet United S.C. who has members from Union Beach and Keyport in their programs. Both towns were hit very hard by the storm.   The FSL Board has approved a $1,000.00 donation to purchase items to serve a hot lunch @ the Keyport Fire House. We are planning to BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers, serve hot coffee and tea plus water.

We are asking everyone to try and help out by donating any of the NEEDED and REQUESTED items below:

Baby Formula Diapers of all sizes Baby Wipes Blankets Work Gloves toiletries Chapstick Flashlights Batteries all sizes Latex loves Hand Sanitizer Hygiene related items Respitory Mask Hand and shoe warmers Hand Lotions

Drop Off will be @ Opatut Park (Soccer -Side) this Saturday November 10th between 8-10:30 am. We will be loading the truck and heading to Keyport at 10:30am.   Our goal is to feed as many people as we can (first responders and people of the community) and hopefully put a smile on their face. Please do what you can, every little bit helps.   We need some volunteers to help organize the collection and loading of truck and or Help us down in Keyport.   If you have an interest please contact: fundraising@freeholdsoccer.com

Thank you,

Bryan Patmore President,

Freehold Soccer League
