Freehold Art Society Meeting and Lecture
Eduardo Mungiello, a Freehold Borough resident, will present a program titled, "The Basics of Alla Prima Painting: Techniques of the Dutch and Italian Masters of the Seventeenth Century." He holds a doctorate in European Cultural History and a Master's degree in Art History with a concentration in the Italian Renaissance, was a scholar in residence at the Centre for medieval and Renaissance Studies in Oxford, England, and published with Cambridge Scholars. He has studied traditional painting independently in Florence, Rome, and New York, and teaches privately. Mungiello taught at many institutions and is presently an adjunct professor at Essex County College and Brookdale Community College. He is also a member of the Freehold Borough Arts Council.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Handicapped access is available. The library requests visitors park in the lot behind the library off of Alexandra Drive. Check at the desk for the room assignment.
