‘Honor Diaries’ Documentary Premieres In Freehold

In recognition of International Women’s Day, Freedomfest USA will host a screening of the documentary “Honor Diaries,” followed by a discussion/Q&A led by Clarion Project and Fox News Middle East analyst, Ryan Mauro.

The powerful and inspiring new documentary film, HONOR DIARIES is the first film to break the silence on ‘honor violence’ against women and girls.   Hundreds of screenings will be taking place around the world to celebrate International Women’s day.

The New Jersey screening of HONOR DIARIESwill be held on Monday, March 10 at 7:00 pm at the All Seasons Diner II in Freehold, NJ. The screening, hosted by Freedomfest USA, will include a discussion and Q&A led by Middle East expert Ryan Mauro, an analyst for The Clarion Project, one of several partnering organizations that sponsored the making of the film.

HONOR DIARIES features an all-star cast of female human rights activists, including New York Times bestselling author, Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

“In male-dominated cultures, like Saudi Arabia, women and girls are treated like property, forced into marriage, and suffer female genital mutilation,” said Ayaan Hirsi Ali. “In HONOR DIARIES, I am proud to join these courageous women to speak the truth: that culture is no excuse for abuse.”

“More than a movie, HONOR DIAIRIES is a movement to save women and girls around the world and here in America from human rights abuses,” said Paula Kweskin, HONOR DIARIES producer and writer.

HONOR DIARIES brings together a diverse coalition of groups to champion this important cause, including: The AHA Foundation, Alliance of Iranian Women, The Clarion Project, Girls’ Globe and more.

Ryan Mauro, who will introduce the film and conduct a discussion afterward, is a reporter and Middle East expert who has been seen on Fox News and The Blaze.

All Season Diner II is located at 4135 U.S. Highway 9 in Freehold, NJ. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and food will be available. While there is no charge for admission, donations will be accepted at the door to offset the cost of the screening.
