About Daniela's Wish:

To help every child have comfort and safety, especially during times of sadness.
Daniela is a 10 year old girl from Colts Neck, NJ. Recently, she was

watching the news with her mom, and she saw the children devastated by
Hurricane Sandy. Her parents and teachers have shared with her the good
news that caring people are sending food and supplies, but she started

to think about what she could do to help.

Daniela has been
helping families in need since she was only 7 years old. She recently
won several awards and scholarships for her efforts.

About the Family:

Karen is a single mom with 3 children - 21 year old Anthony, Jonathan,

her 14 yr. old with autism, and Drea, her adopted 10 yr. old who is

blind and in a wheelchair due to spastic quadriplegia since she was a

year old.

The family has been impacted by Super Storm Sandy.
Their house is still standing, but it had to be gutted because of mold
and contamination, and everything inside was destroyed.
Currently, ALL members of this family are living in separate housing,
and the impact to the kids is definitely not a positive one. The child
with autism is especially confused about why he is where he is, and why
he can't go back to his home and routine.
