Osteoporosis 101 with Bone Density Screenings

Did you know that osteoporosis can affect men and women
of all ages and races? The Center for Healthy Aging, in cooperation
with the Pharmacy Department at Kimball Medical Center, a Barnabas Health
facility, has developed a presentation to educate people on osteoporosis. Join
Barbara Schwarz, RPH, as she discusses the nature and risk factors, as well the
signs and symptoms of osteoporosis. We will also explore the do’s and don’ts of
some very well-known osteoporosis medications. This informative workshop will
be followed by free bone density screenings. Refreshments will be
provided.
