The Knights of Columbus Council #3187 Annual Spaghetti Dinner

The Knights of Columbus Red Bank Council #3187 will be holding their annual spaghetti dinner on the Knights Hall located in Fair Haven. This is one of the Knights major fundraisers for the year and this is a great opportunity for the community to enjoy a great Italian meal in a family oriented setting. The dinner typically is attended by over 200 guests, but was cancelled last year due to hurricane Sandy.

The dinner will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, cake and coffee. A cash bar is available. Cost is $16 for adults and $11 for seniors and children under 12.

The council Chancellor Brett Beach, who is chairman of the event, adds “We use the funds generated at events like this to support local and national charities that are in desperate need of our support.” said Grand Knight Miles Svikhart. He continued, “The parish communities have always supported us tremendously at events like this. People understand that charity is one of the core principles of the Knights of Columbus and they are excited to help us meet our goals and help others. Last year alone the Knights raised and donated more than $158 million to charitable needs and projects, and we’re proud to be a part of that.”

The Knights of Columbus was officially chartered as a fraternal benefit society in 1882 thanks to the efforts of Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity. The Red Bank Council #3187 was chartered in 1948.
