Resident Honored for 20 Years of Dedication

Al Michenfelder of the Racer's Club was awarded a plaque from Valvoline for his 20 years of service.

For the last 20 years, Al Michenfelder, Freehold resident, and founder of the Racer’s Club has looked after and educated over 100 local boys and girls who have an interest in model cars.

Through his own passion for cars and racing, Michenfelder has been a staple at the Downtown Freehold Kruise Nights and throughout town with his Valvoline attire. At the Monday Michenfelder was recognized for his years of service with a plaque from Valvoline presented by Councilman Kevin Kane.

“We [Borough Council] got a letter from Valvoline from a William Weston who is the distribution manager in Lexington Kentucky. The letter said that they would like to congratulate Al on his 20 years of dedicated service to the Racers Club and wish his many more years of continuous service,” said Kane.
