Lending a Helping Hand in Battle Against Cancer

Ashley Lauren Foundation collecting funds and presents for children battling cancer.

Members of the armed forces were at the Freehold Raceway Mall this weekend helping to raise money for an organization working to help local families dealing with childhood cancer.

Monica Vermeulen, Founder and Executive Director of the Ashley Lauren Foundation said the organization was working to make the holidays better for families during what can otherwise be a very difficult time. The foundation was not only raising funds to help buy presents for the children they also had a wishing tree to give people gift ideas on what to get them. “We have a tree with holiday wishes so that you can take a wish with you and grant their wish.”
