Perfect weather for the weekend

Excellent weather conditions can be expected through the weekend and really through next week as high pressure will basically remain in control over the region.  Temperatures will moderate to near to slightly above normal levels through the forecast period.

High pressure will slide over the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas today through tonight with clear skies to scattered clouds.  Winds will be variable at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures this afternoon will rise into the mid to upper 50's for highs over much of the region, upper 40's to lower 50's along the coast.

A series of weak disturbances will move through the region tomorrow on through next Thursday with a threat for isolated showers each day.  These showers will be capable of brief yet very heavy downpours.  Most locations however will remain dry with scattered clouds to clear skies expected.  Temperatures tomorrow and Sunday will range from the mid 40's for lows and mid 60's for highs.  Temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will range from the mid to upper 40's for lows and upper 60's to lower 70's for highs.  Temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday will range from the mid to upper 40's for lows and mid to upper 60's for highs.

Overall a very tranquil and seasonable period of weather is expected.
