Tranquil and warm conditions return

High pressure will produce excellent weather conditions today on through at least tomorrow afternoon before clouds increase with isolated showers tomorrow evening.  With the dry weather conditions will come temperatures returning to seasonable levels breaking 60 degrees in many locations by tomorrow afternoon.  However, a rather wet weather pattern will become established for the rest of the week with a threat for showers each day.

Scattered cloud cover is expected through tomorrow morning with light and variable winds.  A cold front will approach by tomorrow afternoon with increasing clouds and a threat for an isolated shower in the evening hours.  Winds will veer from the north to the southwest at 5 mph by tomorrow afternoon and then back to the northeast by tomorrow evening.  Temperatures today will rise into the mid to upper 50's for most locations, lower to mid 50's along the south shore of Long Island.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the upper 30's to lower 40's for lows and lower to mid 60's for highs for most locations, upper 50's along the south shore of Long Island.

The cold front wills tall over southern New Jersey and southern Pennsylvania on Wednesday night and linger over the region through Friday.  Scattered to broken cloud cover can be expected with waves of showers, heavy at times.  While rain is not expected throughout the entire period, the showers will be capable of reducing visibility below 2 miles and produce localized urban flooding.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the mid to upper 40's for lows and lower to mid 60's for highs.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the mid 40's for lows and mid to upper 50's for highs.

A cold front will move through the region on Saturday with scattered showers.  High pressure will take hold by Saturday night on through Monday with clear skies to scattered clouds.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the mid 40's for lows and lower to mid 60's for highs.  Temperatures on Sunday and Monday will range from the upper 30's to lower 40's for lows and upper 50's to lower 60's for highs.
