Tranquil Weather Conditions Return

Excellent weather conditions will return once again for the weekend.

High pressure from southeastern Canada will be in complete control through much of this weekend which will mean excellent weather conditions will return once again for the weekend.  While an isolated shower might threaten the streak of perfect weekend weather, most locations will remain dry, comfortable, and pleasant.

Today through Sunday, high pressure will produce scattered cloud cover throughout the region.  An isolated shower is possible, especially over the Delaware River Valley, however most locations will remain dry.  Winds will be from the north and northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 80's for highs this afternoon.  Temperatures tomorrow and Sunday will range from the upper 50's to lower 60's for lows and upper 70's to lower 80's for highs.

A series of weak disturbances will pass to the south of the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas Tuesday on through Thursday.  Scattered to overcast cloud cover can be expected through the period due to an east and northeasterly wind.  An isolated to widely scattered shower will be possible as well, however most locations will remain dry.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 50's to lower 60's over the New York City metropolitan area and lower to mid 60's over the Philadelphia metropolitan area.  High temperatures will range from the upper 70's  to lower 80's over the New York City metropolitan area and lower to mid 80's over the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
