Wet evening on the way

An area of low pressure exiting from the western Gulf of Mexico will lift northward towards the eastern Great Lakes with periods of moderate to heavy rain this afternoon through early tomorrow morning.  Localized urban flooding will be a threat as a half an inch to an inch and a half of rainfall is expected.  Unsettled yet warm conditions are expected through the rest of the week and into the weekend.

Clouds will increase through the morning with rain developing by the mid to late afternoon hours.  The rain will become heavy at times towards evening.  Winds will veer from the east to the southeast at 5 to 15 mph, increasing to 10 to 20 mph by evening with higher gusts.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 50's for highs.

Tonight through early tomorrow morning, periods of moderate to heavy rain can be expected.  Localize urban and flash flooding will be a threat due to the rainfall with poor visibility.  Winds will veer to the southwest by tomorrow morning at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 40's to lower 50's for lows.

Skies will clear by late tomorrow morning with scattered cloud cover by tomorrow afternoon.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 60's along the immediate coast and mid to upper 60's throughout the rest of the region including urban locations.

Isolated showers will be a threat on Wednesday with a passing disturbance.  Scattered cloud cover can be expected on Thursday with weak high pressure.  A series of weak disturbances will lift through the region from the Tennessee River Valley with isolated showers on Friday and Saturday followed by scattered cloud cover on Sunday.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the lower 40's for lows and mid to upper 50's for highs.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the upper 30's for lows and upper 50's to lower 60's for highs.  Temperatures on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will range from the lower to mid 40's for lows and and highs in the mid 60's along the immediate coast and upper 60's to lower 70's throughout the rest of the region including urban areas.
