Former Freehold Resident Dies at 85

Visitation for Kay Gink-Morey will be Thursday, Aug. 1 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home in Freehold.

Kay L. Ginko-Morey, 85, of Lakewood passed away on Sunday, July 28 at Claremont Care, Point Pleasant. 

Kay was born in Binghamton, N.Y. and had lived in Freehold and Scranton, P.A. before moving to Lakewood in 2000. She was a homemaker.

Kay was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Ginko in 2006 and her second husband, George Willard Morey, Jr. two weeks ago; and her brother, Joseph Hemstead. She is survived by three stepchildren; and three stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, Aug. 1 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. with her funeral service to follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Elizabeth Dubroff officiating. Inurnment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kay’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
